چکیده

This paper proposes a test-case design method for black-box testing. First, a language for test-case design based on “feature tree” is provided. Next, a formal semantics of the language is defined as for reliability of generated test-cases. Last, we propose and implement a SAT based algorithm for automated test-case generation, whose correctness is proved w.r.t. the above-mentioned semantics. Our preliminary experiments show that the method is effective for test-case design in practice in both aspects of the language design and scalability of the algorithm.

Test-Case Design by Feature Trees

This paper proposes a test-case design method for black-box testing, called “Feature Oriented Testing (FOT)”. The method is realized by applying Feature Models (FMs) developed in software product line engineering to test-case designs. We develop a graphical language for test-case design called “Feature Trees for Testing (FTT)” based on FMs. To firmly underpin the method, we provide a formal sem...

Improvement of the Effective Components in the PDR Positioning Method Based on Detecting the User’s Movement Mode Using Smartphone Sensors

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate and improve the accuracy of indoor positioning using smartphone sensors based on Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) method. In some specific situations, such as fires or power outages that disable infrastructure-based positioning techniques, using PDR method based on smartphone sensors that perform positioning continuously is a good solution. This paper focu...

Evaluation of the Two Methods for Thinning in Oak Plantation based on Ecological Capability (Case staudy: Neka area, Mazadaran Province)

The study was aimed to assess of the Danish and Swiss methods of thinning in 20 years old plantations of Chestnut leaved Oak (Quercus castaneifolia C. A. Mey.) in terms of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of trees, natural regeneration, plant and soil invertebrate diversity. The study area is located in Neka forests, east of Mazandaran province in the Caspian region. This research w...

Quantitative evaluation of software security: an approach based on UML/SecAM and evidence theory

Quantitative and model-based prediction of security in the architecture design stage facilitates early detection of design faults hence reducing modification costs in subsequent stages of software life cycle. However, an important question arises with respect to the accuracy of input parameters. In practice, security parameters can rarely be estimated accurately due to the lack of sufficient kn...

A Self-organized Multi Agent Decision Making System Based on Fuzzy Probabilities: The Case of Aphasia Diagnosis

Aphasia diagnosis is a challenging medical diagnostic task due to the linguistic uncertainty and vagueness, large number of measurements with imprecision, inconsistencies in the definition of Aphasic syndromes, natural diversity and subjectivity in test objects as well as in options of experts who diagnose the disease. In this paper we present a new self-organized multi agent system that diagno...
